 Looking towards Southhampton along the Brighton Coastline

Desaturated, bumped the contrast up, darkened the image. Re-coloured. Voila..

I figure the grain will put some people off, but I really wanted to bring out the beams of light and set an atmosphere for this photo.

Hi Matt...

This is an excellent capture. It looks like something I would expect to stumble across in a museum of fine photography... I'm so impressed with this image that I don't even feel qualified to 'critique' it at all. I see no flaw.

Maybe the tides are turning in the battle between good and evil. The light of heaven is shining through :)

I really dug the grainy look...especially in contrast to the solid black at the bottom. Definitely think you should have placed higher.

Congrats on a really great image. Now i can't wait to see your G3 productions :) I can't understand that you got some criticism on the grain; it was so necessary here. And i for one liked that there was so little silhouette; it just underscored the drama.

The grain in this photo totally works. The colors are pretty dramatic. Too bad there wasn't a little more going on for the silhouette. Good job

Something about this is very appealing. The graininess, the light rays coming in and reflecing off the rain?. The highlights on the water are perfectly captured, too.
