Beautiful shot..I think you made a very good job of capturing the moonlit sky, it really adds so much to the overall calm and tranquillity that the image exudes.
Surprised that it didn`t finish much higher.
Very nicely done. |

You know, I noticed that one too, after I had uploaded it. It probably was. I was amazed how many stars showed up in the shot. I just wish I could've managed to capture the lightning as well but we can't have everything. :-) Thanks for the comments everyone!! |

Interesting how I made a JIM Morrison reference (I didn't read the title) when Van was the Morrison in question ;)
Great image, sad it didn't do better but I think I loved this shot more than others for some reason! Congrats on your 6.0000 and this great image.

I love this, reminds me of The Doors song Moonlight Drive. I would have liked it if you cloned out that light furthrest to the right, and maybe got the lit path to end where the moon's reflected light begins by moving to the left when shooting this (but there would be other compositional compromises, no doubt) as it would make it seem like an extension of the path.
This is fantastic, anyway, however.
4/4 For the challenge
3/3 For Aesthetics
2/2 For Originality
1/1 For the WOW factor
Oh...10 - nice one :) I hope you ribbon with this distinctly unique enty.

the walkway detracts from the beautiful moon and the reflection in the ocean. Overall a good photo! 5 |

Beautiful image... the horizon is slightly tilted (runs "downhill" to the left), also maybe shifting the angle so the moon would not be centered may have made it more interesting. Good shot. |

neat, nice work. i think that if this was a 15s exposure, it should have been about half of that and then some work in toning to bring out the clouds. i think one stop down would have saved the highlights of the moon, it's reflection and the lanterns or whatever on the boardwalk. good work though, nice eye... |

A beautiful moon capture! I love the reflection on the sea of the moon! It has a surreal feeling! Very nice! :) |

This is quite lovely. I wish the ,oon weren't quite so centered, and I don't think the bright light on the right horizon is helping at all, so I'd have thought about panning left a little to get the composition a tad less static. regardless, nice and imaginative work and a strong entry. |

Gorgeous shot. Love the moon on the water and the lights coming from the homes on the left gives the eye a reason to view the entire composition. |

I wish I had seen this one fist to set the bar higher for the others, Van Morrison would be proud. |

Oh yeah. . . when I saw this, my first thought, just like the challenge said, was "That's beautiful!" That is really beautiful! I love the glasslike quality in the water, and the light on the pier. |
