I really like the composition and great job getting most of them to look your way! It is a bit dark though, and I have this same problem with the way I take shots where the subject is dark but there is a lot of surrounding light (as it appears here, like an early morning shot), so at the risk of being impertinent, what did you focus and meter on when you took this shot?

Really neat shot! Love the whitetail flag. Shooting wildlife moving in and out of shadows is incredibly hard! Exposure seems pretty close, but the grain is nearly to the point of being bad. 5 Rob the Swash

If it weren't so underexposed, it would be a dynamite picture. I really like how tight they all are in the frame.

Great capture! The deer at the front is trotting ahead so proudly. You have a good eye!

Having done a lot of deer shots, I know how hard it is to make them clear. It's difficult to get close enough for a good photo since they spook so easily. It's too bad that they were in the shade of the trees because they are a little dark but you can see their faces nicely. A very good attempt and definately meets the challenge. Good Luck!
