Congrats on a great finish for this shot, Harvey. It's an excellent shot.

...but the more I stare at it, the more I see the umpire actually trying to avoid the decision be flapping his arms in an attempt to fly away. ...maybe not. :P

This is great image for the challenge and was one of my picks for a ribbon unfortunatly I think you suffered backlash from all the vindictive voters or trolls or whatever you want to call them.

consistent calls are key...good focus on the umpire..if you were gonna leave the players in the frame, you should of tried to fit them in entirely. good photo...6

It is unfortunate that the base can not be seen at the bottom of the frame.

Would love to have a little more in the frame on the bottom so we could see the runner's contact with the ground and base. Possibly from a slightly different angle too so everybody's not in a straight line. Nonetheless, this is a good capture with dead-on focus.

By all means this image is one of the top contenders. A benchmark for the tens in this challenge. Great use of focus depth to emphasize the umpire, a great catch of the action and epxressions and lighting that is evan all the way around. I am not a fan of the square cropped ratio, however it is not something that would detract from this image and another choice could even hurt the balance and focus of the decision that you have captured. Great job!

would have been great to see the bottom / the feet and the thing he is throwing himself at...

Good shot, but doesn't stand out from the plethora of other baseball umpire shots. Still a good shot for this challenge 7.
