I like this shot a lot for some reason... The shadow on his face makes him out to be pretty mysterious... I would've cropped out the sky and some of the mountains.

I like the placement of the subject with the broad expanse of the farm lands & hills behind it but it did take me a while to decide that the sheep were there in the background. Even though I can hardly make them out I like the colors in the photo.

Would have been nice if he could have been closer to the animals ... they are hard to make out.

This is a nice photo, at first I didnt like the harsh shadows on the face but its growing on me.

Beautiful. I love the way the light falls over the subject especially.

This is a great photo, sure to place. Nice depth of field. What is he holding though? To me it takes away (only slightly) from the rustic quality of this. Interesting hat as well. Is that Calvin p***ing on an oldsmobile logo? (from Calvin and Hobbes - comic strip)

Person looks good. Wish that the flock was closer. What's that on his hat?

Fill-in flash would definetely improve things.

I like the placement of the subject in this photo. It allows us to see the landscape as well. Perhaps getting a little closer and showing some detail in his face would create a more compelling image

Almost missed the herd in the middle background, I thought they were rocks at first glance. A little more face, more obvious herd would have been helpful. (Curious: What is in his hands?)

National Geographicish... I like it!

At first I wasn't sure about this picture, but the more I look at it, the more I really like the context the subject is put in. It's a shame his hat has one of those Calvin peeing on something logos on it.

Great composition, follows the ROT, that's always good. It would be a stronger picture IMO if the horizon was level and you had taken this from a lower angle and slightly further left, that way his face would've not been in the deep shadow.

Good use of space to evoke a feeling of openness.

Where are his sheep? :)) Nice photo!

Love your shot. Very well done. Great light, interesting photo. Good work.

Very cool. But where is his flock? Or wait.... are YOU his flock?
I like the slant of the sunshine on his face.

Nice pix----but where's the sheep? Are they out of focus in the background?
05/27/2002 12:36:00 PM
Would have like the sheep (? closer?) or a dog in the photo with him.

Love the placement of the subject in this photo. The colors are great. What does he have in his hand?
