It's not a background, it's actually water, just dark. Funny how people don't see it's in water -- where else do you find waterlillies? The purple ones are especially rare.... |

| focus and clarity on the flower is really nice. but Is it in water? it's hard to tell. there is a texture of the background, however, i can't tell if it's in the water, or if there is something else. The background isn't distracting or anything. colors are nice. ~Heather~ |

| The background here is weird. Those ripples in the upper left corner are distracting. I think a wider shot with more water might have made the shot less confusing, and more effective. |

| Beautiful. There are a lot of Macro shots of flowers (not suprising, given the subject) so it will take a really breathtaking image to steal the show. This is one of the closest I have seen so far. |

| Those colors are awesome! I like the ripple effect in the upper top corner. The main subject is a little too centered though. The softness comes through very well, well done. |
