Photowise I would have given it a 6 had it met the challenge. To me the light is fairly flat though the composition is good and the spider adds interest. The leaves frame it nicely on the bottom as well.

Supposed to be a bird but the colors are ok... I hate spiders so I can not look long.... |

It took a moment to figure out what you were doing... I think it's hilarious. But I can't vote it high (it would sure be weird if a spider won in the bird's challenge). Anyway, kudos on the humor. |

For a spider picture, its pretty cool. Maybe it has the bird 'tied up' inside? The image itself is pretty good, a little static for my taste but the colors, focus, and DOF are right there. Good luck in the challenge! |

In my opinion, this doesn't meet the spirit of the challenge. Nice photo though. |

Creepy! But after looking at all the beautiful birds, it was fun to see something like this. |

Well it was pretty hard not to meet this challange and put a bird in the picture but you succeeded. Good exposure though. |

Very cool photo. Unfortunately though, I promised myself that I would stick to the letter of the challenge (which states there must be at least one bird in the shot). I'm sticking to my scoring rules & curve, but instead of a 1 I did give this the highest mark I could without meeting the challenge (3). Like I said, I LOVE the shot, so it pains me to do it, but I do my best to remain consistent and unbiased in my scoring. (You got amazing detail on the spider - very cool!) |

I'm sure you're already getting tons of comments saying there's no bird. Sorry to add to them, but there's no bird visible. |

Good clarity on the insect, and a nice shot though I don't feel it really meets the challenge criteria. The focus on the shot is nice and sharp, and I can't see any noise, so well done! |

Very creative. Nice colors, excellent focus. I see the birdhouse, but not any bird. Can't blame a bird for not dwelling in that place! |
