| While this is a neat statue of birds, I think it is outdone in this challenge by real birds. The backlighting from the window provides a nice glow but it can't overcome the staticness of this image. Hoestly, I know nothing is going to happen and nothing has happened so it makes the image kind of, well, boring. This is good for what it is, its just not my taste as far as images go. Part of scoring a challenge is the technicals. You did okay with that. Part of scoring in a challenge is viewer reaction. You got none from me. I admire your creativeness in using a statue but I can't give you a great score. All of this should be taken with a grain of salt. It is strictly my opinion and taste. 4 |

| I like the lighting and the "abstract-ness" of the birds. THe lines in the background is a bit distracting. Was it a screen? |

| great focus. perhaps a straight on shot would have allowed you to show more of the base without the sill being skewed. unfortunately i don't find the subject very compelling. perhaps a more artistic crop closer in might have helped, or maybe just made the whole thing confusing-5 |

| Excellant twist on the theme. Thanks for thinking outside the square. Bird on the left just seems a little out of focus. |

| I like the simplicity, and the blurred background. The birds themselves need to be in much better focus, though. |

| this would look better with a warm washof light on this side of the statue. its beautifully in focus and the screen behind it give nice texture to the photo |

| If I could be convinced that this took more than 5 minutes to find the curio, place it by the window, shoot it, edit the picture and submit it I'd be more inclined to give it a higher score. |
