What a dynamic image? cropping in on the ski may have worked a little better. Great contrast,

B&W vs. Color issus aside, well timed shot. My major suggestion would be to crop this vertically -- it would emphasize how high he is in the air and also give him less photo space to land in -- almost make it feel like he's gonna soar completely out of the shot. (I'd probably crop in such a way that the boat was still in the shot and way up in the right hand corner.)

Tack sharp (B/W helps a lot there), and a great catch of the action. Slightly tilted (you could just crop out the horizon to take care of that, or, even better, crop to a vertical to emphasize the jump. The spray at R is good, but you don't need all of it.) Pretty good tones, although I wouldn't mind the whites just a touch brighter, but certainly raisies the question, 'why B/W?'.

awesome! the spray looks especially choice.

It has been said in the forums that an action shot like this doesn't work in black and white, but I think it leads the viewer to look at things like that big cloud of spray in a different way than colour would. I don't know about the way the photo is framed though, it doesn't seem to work that well to me.

Very nice action stop. Good range of whites/greys/black, very good focus and action stopage!! Sorry, but I have no constructive remarks. (Maybe w/o the other boat, but I understand that candid shots often have bonus extras that weren't intended/wanted)
Photo 10 ++ Creativity 9 B&W 9 total 9

I know its hard to time what other people are doing on the water, but this shot would have been much better without the pontoon boat in the background, with the splash leading into your jetskier, and cropped more closely to your subject.

This is a photograph that screams out for color. I do not believe that it captures the motion and spirit as well when done in B&W.

Nice action shot. Good catch.

The subject looks a bit static for me... I'd put it more to the right.

Right place , right time.

nice photo. only improvement i can think of would be to crop out the horizon in the top right. also, it would have been nice if that boat wasnt in the pic.

This is an excellent photo.. however, i am beggin to see a vertical crop on this one.. I think that vertical cropping would increase the sense of height on the wave jump in this photo... good job!

good action shot

Nice air. I think the B&W detracts rather than adds, though.

Such a nice catch, but I really don't think this shot needs to be black and white. The idea isn't to just take your best picture and convert it to black and white.

Sports shots (especially with water and a jet ski) should be filled with vibrant color to draw users more than they already are drawn in by the amount of action going on.
