Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Kosmik...
This is a great shot... It was one of my favorites of the challenge... I think it makes an excellent postcard by highlighting a nice architectural element of the community.
The composition of this photo accents the curves nicely and leads my eye right through the scene in a smooth way. The direction of light in this image also creates strong contrasts in the architecture that continue to accent those curves... You should take this image an try to sell it as a postcard photo to this museum...
Great work :)

Cool building! If there wasn't anything distracting there, I would have included more at the bottom. It would be nice to see three archs extending all the way to the right. Also, there's no benefit to having two fonts (I'd use the bottom one for both, and give the text a little more space. |

I have to wonder if this is suposed to be Civilization, but seeing it is in Canada, I know you guys spell things funny. *wink* I like the angle and framing/cropping you chose for this shot. The sky is beautiful. very postcard like. focus and clarity are also good. I would buy this as a souvenier. ~Heather~ |

Those curves are incredible. I love the negative space of the blue sky. Great and abstract. |

A fine photograph of a striking structure. The strong light and shadows accentuate the marvelous architecture. |

I love this place, and I think you really captured the essence of its flowing architecture, i like the "yingyang" balance you have with half the frame as sky and the other half as the flowing lines of the building. |

Excellent shot. The curves are great. I feel that the bottom text doasn't match the overall feel of the picture though. Some text in the sky portion might have been a good alternative. |

Interesting lines. I find myself wanting to see the bottom of the parts of the building in the distance, though. I think I'd have preferred it with the camera pointed downwards a little. |

I'm not fond of how this was cut off at the bottom so much. I think this is a very cool building and is very suitable to put on film, but I think the pic should've been taker from a higher perspective or from further back so the bottom isn't so cut off. Nice subject and a good day to shoot it too. |

Oh Canada!
Great job, so a great grade of 10 from one Canadian to another. Good luck in the challenge. Wonderful architecture, but I thought that this building was in Hull? Morgan |

Too much wall on the left.... The different fonts do not compliment. I like the bottom font - works well with the overall mood of the picture |

excellent architectural photo... i love good architecture shots and this one is no exception. the curves and the light / dark contrast are very strong together. The composition you chose here accents the architecture nicely... great work :) = 10 - setzler |

Lighting is slightly harsh, but the lines in this shot are wonderful. Excellent point of view and nice DOF and focus. |

I'd buy this postcard if I went to the Museum of Civilisation. That's an interesting perspective you've captured, well done. You can be proud of this one. |

I like the curves in this picture it looks great. I Also like the border used, and I love the text on teh bottom of the picture. The different font for the top text seems a bit awkward to me but it doesn't take away from the picture much. Overall well done. |
