Nice DOF, movign the camera down a bit would eliminate the un-used space on top.

Great capture, I especially like the details around the birds eye, wish it was just a tad sharper, but can't have everything! - good job.

I'll be interested to know how far away you were for this shot. Nice work.

what a cute guy. a little unsharp, but i know they move a lot. if you have faster shutter speed try that.

I'm not a bird fan, but it's impressive that you got this tight on the little mutant flying lizard. Slightly soft. Nice bokeh and grain.

what an interesting bird. i like this shot. i like how the bird's in focus while the background is a complete blur.

Nice portrait...

I'm very familiar with the difficulty of photographing skittish things -- like birds. Yet you included eye highlights, beak and eyelid detail, backlighting, and depth of field.

Looks like maybe you used the digital zoom, from the noise. I notice this on my camera too. I tried putting my camera on the highest resolution setting and not zooming in so much then in my software I crop tight around the area I wanted. Since the high resolution setting produces a big shot you end up with the same result just cleaner, after you crop it how you want.

Nice closeup! good blur on the background...

Wow, the thumbnail for this looked a bit plain, but up close there's so much detail in the feathers and around the eye. Nice work!

nice contrast it seems it could have been a bit more focused

I love this bird! The feathers on the breast look so soft and fluffy. Nice shot!

Good shot. Either you have a great zoom or a willing bird. The background is really grainy, though, which detracts from the shot.
