Even after all these years, this is still one of my very favorite shots. I look at it fairly often, and it ALWAYS makes me smile. Thanks! |

Sorry for the late response, but thanks mag (and all other commentators as well). It looks pretty cool printed on A4 size too. I framed it and it's hanging on my wall now :) BTW there's more detail about how I made it on my homepage. |

weird. i mean freaky angle! I love this shot--the clarity is outstanding, the framing, lighting and composition is darn near perfect. if this was my pet photo it would definitely go on the wall! |

Nice shot, interesting angle, but too much light. |

I would have liked to have seen more detail in the fur. The unusual angle gets my vote. |

Attack of the giant Chihuahua! ;-) Very nice detail - how did you get the dog to pose? |

This is one of my favorites this week, though his forhead is a bit blown out on my monitor I like how you cropped and rotated it. Makes me smile just looking at it. Good job! :) |

I just hate it when people send picture of their pets. But this one is a good one. Good job. |

would have had a higher vote if so much of the image wasn't blown out. |

if i was taking a shot like this of my dog, it probably wouldn't come out as nice as this because there'd be a big, wet dog slop on the lens from my dog licking it. heh |

So in-your-face. I'd blow out the highlights even more, and just keep the detail in the darks. Upgraded on 2nd look. |

Some dogs think they're human. This one almost looks that way. Love the details. |

"here, leezard leezard : ) .." I love this picture. the full frame, tight crop, high contast, high detail, angle of rotation, and facial expression, all ROCK : ). A 9. |

There are so many great shots this time------hard to choose-----this is not my favorite subject, but I think it must be the winner! GOOD JOB---10 |

Too close-up for my taste. Great detail, nevertheless. |

I love this shot, especially the reflections in the top eye. Good job in my book! |

This just totally cracks me up. Apart from the little bits of reflection (not the main light -- camera, maybe?) in the eye, which is very minor, I can't see anything I'd try to "fix." Good shot. |

I love the way this photo almost seems bleeched out. The dog's eyes, the bright colors, the GREAT angle -- and most importantly, doing something different. Congrats on this awesome photo. |

COOOOOL! I LOVE this shot! I hate all the boring pet shots, but this one ROCKS. What a great expression and an absolutely perfect close up. Would be curious to know whether this was cropped or not? Great job! |

WOW!! Excellent shot!! I'm speechless.. I'd love this as a poster |

These types of dogs look so inbred to me, but I like how you framed this in a way that accentuates the weirdness of its eyes. The black and white brings out the texture in the hair. Very nice. |
|
|
06/04/2002 02:53:00 AM |
I'd have tried to not lose the detail in the brightest highlights, but that might be your choice to force the viewer to the eye.
BTW -- this would be a great sumbission to the Mirror Project, if you need yet another photo project (//www.mirrorproject.com). |

i dont normally like cat or dog pictures, but this one was well done. i think your contrast and brightness levels are just right. |

Wow! This little dog looks almost like an insect from this close! I like how you were able to capture the incredible texture of the fur on the forehead. Very intense! |
|

Very nice, love the angle, contrast, use of absolute black and white. Great. |

A little to bright on the forehead for me. |

Razor sharp focusing - top left is slightly burnt out. |

Cool~~ This dog seems to be saying: "Hey~Look how handsome I am~" |
|
|

Nice sharp image, I can almost feel the wet nose. A bit washed out in the highlights for my taste. |
