This is GREAT! Not to date myself too much but I remember my Mom having the exact same "Cat Clock" which, of course, marks time with a wag of the tail and back-and-forthe eye movement!

Your photo does give a 50's feel to it. If this had been in black and white, and the kitty more in focus, I would have scored it higher.

i feel as if i am magically transported to the year 1958 ;) seriously, though, this does evoke an era, and i like the use of natural light coming in through the back door. the blurry kitty is a nice touch, too.

I like this shot! I would have just stepped to the right a foot take the wall light switch out of the picture (looks a little modern - and older plate may have made the difference).

7 - Met the Challenge (I think a photo of this put into a 'time capsule' would give future generations a good depiction of this era/year). Criticism; Whilst I think you have a good 'setting', there are a few factors which 'detract' from the theme. The air vent, the 'flip flops' and possibly the carpet. If you had removed those or 'hid' them, it would have made this a better (read more authentic) photograph in my opinion. I like the added character of the cat, just would like to see it sitting still.

Those table and chairs really do say 50's. Composition is nice. I like that the table and chairs stand out colour-wise. Decent fit into the challenge.

good lighting and believable setting make this a realistic time capsule entry, kinda flawed by the cat moving his head, but overall this is a nice entry
