In answer to Drew's question, possibly not yet introduced to DPC. I am just making it a favourite now and wasn't a member during this challenge... |

Oh gosh! What an adorable photograph. I love how innocent and ponderous the child looks and how they're looking up and out of the frame. Lovely capture! |

Acutally, of all the baby/child shots, I like yours best. Not really sure why...just do. Maybe the expression....and the unique hat.. |

The best of the shots of children this week IMO. Great contrast, excellent focus. And just so you know I am going back and raising my vote on this one, it honestly got rated as average in my first round, because I was so overwhelmed by the shear numbers of children and cat photographs. My appologies for that. Nice portrait. |

Very good! Perfect lighting for the mood. Excellent pose, good subject, very expressive. I can't think of a thing that could improve this! |

Charming. Classic. Timeless.... What more can I say? Oh! Great texture in the hat which is picked up beautifully in B&W. |

I have this thing about 'untitled' pictures - I think they should get one! Apart from that, this is a wonderfully executed photo. The framing, crispness, 'colors' (or should I say shades) are great. This is definitely in my top 10 and should rate high overall. Would've also rated high for the people competition, I'm sure. |

what an attractive child. the texture on the hat is awesome. the lighting it just about perfect. some might suggest lighting LL but I like the shadows there - gives the piece some mood. |

Wow. what a doll. I don't care for the hat in b&w but the childs face makes up for any 'flaws' - darling. good job. A winner. |

Nice portrait. What kind of textile technique is used to make the hat? I can't quite tell even though the stitches are clear. |

Wow. The smoothness of the child's face against the nubby texture of the hat is incredible. This is the kind of portrait that grandmothers keep on their walls for decades. This is way cool. |

Excellent! I normally don't care much for kid shots, but this one is very well done and the framing and composition are excellent! You have just the right amount of glisten in the eyes :) Good job! |

Great candid portraint. the highlights in the eyes and lower lip are just right -right at the top of the tonal range. The dynamic range is well controlled. I like the sharp detail in the hat with the soft "glow" in the skin. NIce cropping as well. Well done. |
