Very neat! I don't think they would have had these sorts of underwear in 1931 though.

I love this image. Lovely muted colours, good textures and evokes a feeling of the time period.

Wrong underwear and bra (no underwires then). I love the soapy washboard though.

5 - I like the concept here and I think that a photo of this put into a time capsule for said year would depict the era quite well for future generations, therefore met the Challenge. Criticism; for true 'authenticity' the 'fashion' is not quite right in my opinion, and in my opinion, if you had used just shirts or something 'neglibible' would have made this a better photograph in my opinion. I like how you got the suds etc, and the setup. I wonder if b/w or sepia might have worked better. A slightly wider angle would have also been better, to get the bigger picture of the 'washing', in my opinion, etc etc.

Good shot, could use some better lighting. Nice undies! ;-)

The time when hand washing was the norm. I think you've done a good job. This could have been more impactful without the modern looking bra. Fits nicely into the challenge

i dont think the underwire bra would have existed in 31 since its inventor, Stanley Mason would have only been 10 at the time... though some boys do start thinking baout breasts awful young!

The only thing that didnt do it for me in this photo were the modern garments.

Neat idea. . . but would the underwire bra fit the picture? Or for that mater the style of the panties? BOL

B&W would have helped it more.

Very nice picture and the lighting is well done. I like the suds. However, I don't think they had underwire bras and printed panties back in the 1930's.

i think this is a really good idea because it definitely captures a different period of time, unlike some of the others I've seen! great shot!!
