The expression of this little girl is great. I think that the way she is not looking directly at the camera and looking off into space is wonderful. The little catchlights in her eyes are precious as well.
I only wish that the focus were more sharp around her eyes. Right now, the sharpest part seems to be her clothing near the bottom left of the photo. The texture in her clothes right there is great. I wish that same detail could be shown in her eyes.
The angle and framing/cropping is good. As I stated, I love the pose. I wonder if you should have either cropped MORE of the ear, or less of the ear. Right now, it's kind of cut right in half, and a bit awkward. I like the little bit of space in the upper left giving her some room to stare.
The tones are good. Maybe a little grey, maybe contrast adjustments would help to bring out the whites and blacks a slight bit more. Not much, but that might give the FULL tonal range obviously.
A precious shot none the less. Definately one for the books, or even the wall for that matter. Great capture. Congrats on the granddaughter.

Very precious baby. I love the exspression. Maybe shoot the baby with no shirt on. It seems a bit bright on the shirt. Good luck |

She's lovely, and I really like her name. A little too soft focus for my taste, but I can see what you were trying to accomplish. |

Not bad, though this image is a bit flat in my opinion. Might wanna try cranking the contrast and perhaps playing with the colour channels to get a good range of grey tones. |

the lighting puts a little too much accent on the clothing and i would have preferred the subject looking at the camera. i generally like to look into the eyes of people, especially babies eyes that show the innocence and wonder and joy. 6 |

Congrats on the new little girl =o) Its a cute image, but slightly soft around the eyes and mouth, which could simply be the black and white imaging doing that to it. If you didn't, you may want to try an unsharpening mask and see if that brings the detail out on the eyes and mouth and clears up the slight softness there. Again I got to say congrats on the little angel, hope to see more of her in the future. =o) She's a 9. |

Welcome Aria! Good portrait: it is hard to capture children of that age with their attention focused so well. The lighting really brought out her bright eyes. |

What a great shot! Love the expression and pose of the baby. May be a little too much white in it. Should have tweaked the dark tones a little more more. |
