Thanks for all the nice comments! I didnt feel this was a very good shot, but I didnt really have anything else to submit, so I figured what the heck. I would have liked for it to be better focussed, less grainy, without the distracting shadow, and with a bit less crop. Unfortunately, neither the subjects nor the environment was very cooperative. Thanks again! |

My office park has a flock of geese. Why they walk, we can only guess. It makes a neat picture though. |

I would've tried to frame it so that the curb wasn't in the shot. |

Oh, I was dying to do something like this. There's a bunch of Canadian geese where I work and they regularly hold up traffic when they cross the road. Of course, no such luck when I needed it. Sigh. |

Nice catch :). The light's a bit strong, but it's sweet. |

nice caption but your subjects seem to be running away! animal shots are far more interesting if they are entering the FOV, at least to me. |

The birds in the middle seem a little hard to distinquish from one another. But other than that I really like this photograph! I grew up in a area that this was a common site even in the downtown areas, so it holds some sentimental value to me as well. Nice shadows and texture from the road. |

I'm laughing out loud! I especially like the adolescents in the rear flank, mid stride. They are too funny! |

Nice capture! The shadow is a little distracting, not much you could do about that though. |

a little out of focus in spots or it would have been a good shot. |

I wish I could see where they are going. Maybe that wasn't possible with the little time you probably had to catch them. Perhaps a lower perspective, rather than shooting down at them? They are hard to catch... I know. |

That's what my dad used to always say! I love this picture! It is focused well, teh compostion is great, and is shows a sense of humor. I like the way the lead duck looks like he's looking for traffic. A little more room at the top would have given the ducks somewhere "to go." |

Prefer faces to butts, but I know about this nature stuff. Good job! Looks to be two broods, wow, 15 babies and two exhaused mamas! Photo 9 Creativity 7 Road 9 total 9 (focus is pretty good, action stopped well, cropping etc. pretty good. All in all, well done.) |

An adult in the front of the line and another adult at the back of the line, so this is where preschools get that from. |
