**Greetings from the Critique Club!**
I love the colors and the contrast between the greens and purples. I also like the texture and feel of the "fuzzies" along the stems. However, I get the feeling that it is slightly out of focus, whether it is from the harsh lighting, or the fuzzies giving a blurry feel to it. The DOF is good, the background blurred enough for the blooms to stand out. Seeing as how your title is "Bursting Out", I would have liked to see more "bursting" closer up, the detail in the ready-to-bloom flowers is lost in the fuzzies.
Overall, the photo does have an ethereal feel to it with the colors and contrasts, but I'm afraid the lighting, the lack of focus, and the fuzzies take too much away from it. However, I would like to see these flowers again with more detail.

| Something almost magical about this shot. I really can't think of what it is ... I can only feel what I experience when looking at it. It is almost transcendental in nature. All the elements work within the frame to convey outward .... just like a living plant. There is an aura of life in this scene. If good photography is transferring feelings toward a subject in addition to textures, shapes and colors; this is good photography. 9. |

| I really like the DOF of this. IT seems slightly out of focus - maybe it's my old eyes. LOL Nice colors and the contrast of the pink and green give it some pop. 7 |

| Not sure which element in the shot or post-processing has caused this but there's an annoying halo effect very evident. Could be a combination of the strong light from the flash and over zealous sharpening later on maybe. The untidy crop on the top is poor too. |

| Maybe if the flowers weren't as blurry it would be better. Next time try using curves or filter tools to sharpen it. |

| Interesting ... It feels to me that the sharpening was ovedone. The end result, IMO, is just too harsh. |
