I know you might not have any choice but center of action (interest) is too small for overall photograph. Story loses impact as too far away.

Hehe... ég ætlaði líka að fara og taka mynd af "Formula offroad" en hætti svo við :)

cool! a closer pic in focus would have been better. Anyone hurt?

Isn't this "Off the road" ;).

The viewer is almost too far away to really catch the action in this shot. I fully understand that that probably couldn't be avoided without gettign run over, but if you could have had a close up, this would have been a kickin' idea!

if i could really see what is going on i would rate this image higher.
06/13/2002 08:44:00 AM
can't really make out what's going on here. try zoom next time.

A closer crop of the subject would really bring the action more in focus... To me there is too much landscape.
06/12/2002 11:56:00 PM
Yikes! Looks like maybe they're off he road by now!
06/12/2002 09:01:00 PM
I would have loved to see a tighter shot on the vehicle here.

The car and people are almost lost in this photo. Maybe that's the effect you are trying to achieve. I just played around with the shot to crop it portrait, trying to make them a little bigger in the photo w/out loosing the feeling of space. Of course my version is very bad because it's cropped from your already very small file, but it gives you an idea anyway. What do you think?

Almost a great shot! It's kinda hard to make out as the subject is a bit dark. Figures on the hill top are barely discernable. (Congrats on getting sky to show up) Is the truck spinning out/throwing dirt? (kinda looks that way, but it's soooo hard to see, my poor old, old eyes)
Photo 8 Creativity 6 Road (another pushing the envelope, but getting the benefit of doubt for interpretation thing) 6 total 7
(Shouldn't this be in the Off Road Challenge, instead of the On The Road Challenge?)

The car/ truck need sto be more in the frame.

You'r not getting me in one of those! Nice shot, I think the attitude of the vehicle speeks to the thrill so nothing would be lost with toghter cropping.

subject too small
06/10/2002 07:47:00 PM
offroad! :)

This is dark on my monitor and I can't see the car/bike or what it is? Sorry.
06/10/2002 03:56:00 PM
This would have been much cooler with more zoom.
06/10/2002 01:57:00 PM
I am get plastered for not being on the road with mine so why should I vote up a "by definition" off road picture. I am become a dpchallenge nonimagnitive autotomnoton I fear.

These hill climb cars are quite fun to watch.. good shot!
06/10/2002 12:53:00 PM
I would have liked to see the subject a little better. That looks pretty scarey.

Looks like fun. Good color in your sky. A little hard to see the vehicle, but with far way shots it's hard to fix without a telephoto lense.

A close up the action and less scenery would have made for a more compelling shot
