Greetings from the Critique Club!

This girl looks very familier to me, don't know why but she does. This is a very nice shot, the set up, the model. Reading over the comments you already received I would have to agree with comments about the expression in relation to the title, I did not think Sultry when I first saw the shot, I thought more along the lines that she was not to happy or warm at the time.

I love wind shots when the hair is blowing away or around the face but hair is the face is a personal pet peeve of mine, it's me. Sometimes, if done just right I like but in this case it's hiding a lovely face and not really adding anything to the shot for me.

The colors seem really muted, one thing I like about redhead shots is when the hair really looks alive and vibrant. I'm an auburn myself and when I have shots taken I play with the tones until the true color comes out. Again, these are all just personal opinions, hope they are helping.

The background is a bit distracting but with some blurring and burning it could work very well to your advantage.

If I were to rework this shot the only things I would do are boost the colors, mute the background and maybe crop in a little tighter on the left side, putting the rule of thirds in play.

If you do any other work on this shot I would love to see the results! Again, great shot, lovely girl!

nice image and subject... perhaps a bit too candid to be a true portrait for mr though but nice job

If you go to my profile, you'll see I can't take a decent picture. So I'm not too qualified to comment on your technique. I'd like to see a little more light on the face and maybe a less busy background. But like I said...
However, I will comment on your title. She looks angry or at least annoyed. But I don't see sultry. By definition, sultry means sensual and/or voluptuous. She appears a little young for that look in this shot. Just an opinion..

The back ground is distracting and too busy. Would have like to seen less hair covering her face.

Good shot, the background is interesting but almost takes away from my focus.

a touch blurry and the centering of the girl doesn't seem to work here. Nice natrual look.

I find the background a bit distracting with all of the different textures, but I like the model's expression.

f I can be so bold as to make a few suggestions ... the centre composition of your model is a bit static - would have liked to have seen a off-centred composiion. The background is a bi of a distraction - there is no rule that the background has to be blurred but in this case, the details of the background take too much focus from your model. Finally, the expression, to me, doesn't match your title.

Backround is distracting.

I would like to see her eyes a little more in focus and the background just be the wall.

IMO needs to be cropped a bit closer to really show her rage at you.

This has a potential to be a great photo, however what is preventing that is the crop. The model is too centered. Would love to see more of whatever is around her. Especially to the left. A tad more saturation of color would have helped add a little drama to the portrait. She is a good model and I would like to see more photos of her in the future.

The background is a little distracting, but i love the hair's positioning in the photo- so it completely makes up for it. :-)

I like the hair blowing across her face, but I don't care for her expression. She looks rather more stubborn than sultry to me. I would have loved to have seen a little more contrast pull out the beautiful red of her hair, and perhaps a tighter crop so enable me to see her pretty eyes.

I like the background. IMO, the picture could use just a little more contrast. She has beautiful eyes...would like to see them pop out more in the picture.
