I live in the country so I took a walk and saw the toad on the road.... I see pheasants, turkey and deer all the time.. The day after the challenge ended I saw a peacock on the road (someones pet I guess). I did not have my camera on hand at that time :-( |

Congratulations! I think this is my favorite shot this week :) This is just amazing... I love just about everyting about this photo... The blur in the foreground doesn't bother me at all.. i know how difficult this is to do and if you increased the camera angle, you would lose this view of the frog... good work! |

Poor gal. I hope you put her back in the grass! |

Good use of focus and blur. I love this picture, and the humor behind it. I thought about something like this (thinking of the video game "Frogger"), but you've done it better than I could ever have. I also like the colors. |

I just changed my vote on this one, and up too. It is a great shot with good color, excellent detail, and fits the category. Shallow DOF works well here also. Now I know why I couldn't do one like this, you had my toad. |

Excellent. I love pictures of critters and this sure is a great critter. My only complaint, and I'm not even marking you down for it, is that the foreground is almost distractingly out of focus. But that's ok cause I really like the picutre. :) |

Good job on this shot. Great focus on the subject, and it conveys to me a good playful spirit. |

Excellent. The narrow depth of field isolates the subject from its surroundings. |

Good toad. Was it really that orange? (or is just my monitor...) Very good focus/framing, nice colors, sorry, but I have no "constructive" advice. Photo 10 Creativity 7 Road 8 total 8 |

Like the way the color of the frog is echoed in the pavement. Don't know if it would be possible to get closer to the frog, but I think I would have tried. (Might not look any better than it now does, so I don't know.) The only thing I really find somewhat distracting, and it seems very small, is the pole up and to the left of the frog's right eye. It just keeps catching my attention. Like I said, though, very minor. |

Love it. Bit over exposed to me, but nice job. Well done, creative. |

Oh, yes, beautiful. Apart from the fact that I think toads/frogs/lizards and the like are kinda cute, this is great angle, lighting, DOF, and excellent take on the challenge, my top 3 this week. |

i love the detail you captured on the toad ... how mch of a zoom lens did you have to use? |

precisely what I would have submitted had I been able to find a toad. lol. nice picture. you did relocate him to a safer location after his photo-shoot, didn't you?! |
