I think I know this tree (and have a similar shot of one like it!!!). Looks like one of the giant redwoods in Sequoia Nat'l Park. Not sure about personification here...but that's one heck of a tall looking tree! :)

awesome picture - I think the Reference to personification is a wee bit on the weak side but a great photo non the less.

I've decided to ignore the "are plants inanimate" debate. With that in mind, this does seem to capture the characteristic your title implies. Technically good as well. Bumping to 7.

Sequoia? I was looking up last month at one of these. Nice. The color combination is great and the reddish color is there. Good luck.

this is a gorgeous photo. I know how hard it is to take good pictures of redwoods (or is this a sequoia?) you pulled it off elegantly.
