 I've done quite a few self portraits in my time at DPC and I wanted to disguise myself in a comical kind of way. I used a slight neatimage to make the skin look more fake/cartoony (only 10% I think) and the expression is kinda weird :S A perfect caricature of me then!

I have absolutly no idea how will this will do. I'm being different to the norm, which normally means a bad score.

I really like the lighting on this. I think that the angle and framing/cropping are good as well. Really adds some personality. focus on your eye is great, and detail is wonderful. definately unique. Great shot! ~Heather~

I really like the detail around the right eye but I'm not very convinced about the left eye.

Well, I thought I found my winner - but now I chnage my mind. Probably the most sharpest image in the entire contest (I can't belive how many people are oof).

Without a doubt the most original (so many people with the balck & white - hard shadow composition - myself included)
The eye and bridge of nose is technicaly perfect.

10 - 10 - 10

I think you have done a really amazing job at capturing the look and feel of a caricature. The dark background and lighting have certainly served to add to the drama of your shot as well as your expression. Creative self portrait!! nice job!!

Good stuff. I'd like it more if the area by your right eye was completely dark, same with the hair behind your left hair.

Powerful impact and incredible use of light to define shape. I love how you are tricking the eye into seeing a slightly different reality.

Hands down my favorite in the competition (and there were a lot of good ones). The expression....the quality of the skin.... you look like you're wearing a mask. The lighting (or lack there of) adds to the emotive quality... reminds me of a mime show. Well done, and top marks overall. I hope to see this one win!
