Greetings from the Critique Club.
First impressions ~ this really does look like a shot from the 50's. It's got that lovely gritty feeling to it.
Composition ~ I like the composition with the group on one side as they are. Did very well only getting one person with eyes shut! The leading line of power poles leading to the tower works well. The sky's a bit murky, lacking in highlights/drama. I'm not a dodge/burn expert but feel it could have been worth working in this area and would have added a whole different feel to the image.
Can't really comment on your editing as you haven't told me what you did, if you get a time when uploading your challenge entries it's really helpful putting your editing steps in the description. I would love to have seen this shot with the full 150 kbs, it could well have added a vibrancy to the people in the shot.
Certainly meets the challenge well, good work!
I look forward to seeing more of your work, have fun with the challenges.
regards
sue

Yeah, good title and good photo with the grain effect. The overall effect is a shot that feels like it's from the 60s or 70s. Well done. |

Such a "cold"" image physically speaking...the B & W, the dankness of the day...but there is such an emotional warmth...the smiles, the closeness of all who have gathered for this portrait...nicely done. |
