i really like this image. i know this is a late comment. but i'd really like to see what it would look like in B&w, with all those midtones...wow. i think it'd pop. :)

great job, should have finished higher :)

Great angle and composition. Keeping the yellow line in there adds some nice prespective.

I SWEAR leaving a nice comment with this picture and a score of 7 Wed night but now that i revisit this challenge it seems unmarked. This is just another glitsch at dpc. Anyway, what i recall having said is that i took your picture into PS (because i was curious :) and did a flip vertical and it gives a very interesting effect. Try it and you'll see! I like the originality of the layout, so to speak. Why not just put yourself in the gutter? :) It's a fun image. It has a lot of 'presence'. And i like images that are simple and uncluttered. You could have done a little more with the yellow line; it just sits there. For starters, you could have cropped the bottom so that the yellow line runs the entirety of the image. In fact, you could have cropped more off the top and the bottom. The guy in the image looks like a 10 to me but since i'm supposed to vote on photog merits only, i give this image a 7.

Its an interesting angle, and certainly more creative than most of the entries. I like the slightly washed out colors, the idea that the image and the title together sugest. The only thing that bothers me is the street line. I feel like it should be parallel with the edge of the photo, although maybe thats hard to do from your angle. Anyway, good work, I like it a lot and you get a 9.

i like your idea, but think image would be stronger if the colors were not so washed out.

wishy washy- but growing on me - a 9 for sure.

hey you look like an angel to me (the fallen angel...hey dudes just a big joke only)

I like the hand-painted feel that you get from the low saturation, but the composition doesn't do a lot for me. The concept is unusual and interesting -- guess I don't get the asphalt thing, though. Feels like you're lying in the middle of the road? Which, if one is smiling, kinda lends an insanity to it that detracts from the nice smile.

Great smirk! Your border is really effective, too.

Interesting perspective, but I think a little more contrast would help.

Imagine the chances of that happening - getting run over and having your camera handy!

Awesome shot. Really catches the eye. The long yellow line leads the viewer's eye right into eye contact with you as the subject. Great job. 10

The lighting looks strange here. Either that or this is desaturated? The skin tones just don't look right, but then again, you could just need some sun. :) you almost look like you're hovering above the road. I think it's cause of the lack of shadow. Different take on the challenge. Interesting angle. Focus and clarity look good. Overall interesting, but would have liked a closer up. ~Heather~
