A colander. I haven't submitted to DPC in over a year, but I just started my PAD again click here so I thought DPC challenges would be a good inspiration. Well, I thought. If I shoot the photo, maybe I should submit it, too. Don't think it will do too well, lightsource (a workman light in an otherwise dark room) is probably not obvious enough and I don't think feelings have changed about abstracts. Oh, well, it will be good to have an update button to obsess about again :)
I wish I could cloneout a few little imperfections, but, alas, it's basic editing rules Considering how dirty my sensor is, I'm doing well, anyway. Slight levels adjustment, blue tint, and that's about it. I didn't crop at all. Intended the hook and its shadow to meet right in the middle of the image. No rule of thirds for me this time.
Tried Neatimage but that took too much detail away. |

| OK, now this is a good one. Very nice abstract composition with good lighting that's not too harsh. Nice diffused shadows and good range of tones. Good sharpness on the mesh, too. Good luck. 9. |

| Nice use of limited depth of field! The subtle structure in the bokeh makes the picture lively. I like the simplicity of the idea and the nice curves in the composition. |
