5.0(44) just what you asked for. ;-)
64 comments means I can't add anything useful. Just a word of encouragement. Go Rikki!

Yes, I'd like to see the real version too. This pic had so much potential.

Alright Rikki, I believe you - you did enter the wrong version, cause I know you would not have entered this on purpose. Looks like a great picture underneath all that processing - I look forward to seeing the "correct" version.

Hiya Rikki,

I like the pose, and this does have potential. But it just looks strange, like its over processed on the face, and the lighting is kinda on a weird angle.

Please tell me this is a spoof on Librodos work?

come'on man.

since I promised to comment and make it an even 50 for you (I see you already have 50+) here it goes...

I am sure you already know, over processed, I feel what kills the shot is the processing around the nose, watery eyes look great and love the pose !!

I am glad its not your self nude potrait :P

This is a great composition, and could be a winning shot. There's a problem, however, in that it seems to be very low resolution, or perhaps has too much neat image applied. Hopefully, the base image is technically good and you can produce a better quality version of this compositionally and subject-wise stunning shot! I wonder if this is Rikki's entered by mistake shot? He does like to play with neatimage! (Sorry if you are not Rikki!)

I found you (by accident)

12/07/2005 10:05:49 PM
way, way, way, way toooooo much neat image. i'm sure there is a beautiful image under there, somewhere, but your post-processing has all but hidden it.

12/07/2005 09:54:15 PM
Way to much NeatImage. All detail in the face is lost. Quite a shame, because it appears that it would have made a great shot.

over NI to my taste, nice composition with the diagonal lines from the veil and her hair

12/07/2005 08:21:18 PM
Way too much Neat Image to my taste/oversmoothed. The pixelation prevents a higher score.

I think that the reflection in her eyes is a little distracting. The picture also has a very soft focus too it.

12/06/2005 11:23:26 PM
A lot of potential, but I feel the blur/softening is excessive and has become distracting. The light reflections in her eyes look a bit odd to me as well. Like they are layered with crumpled celophane.

12/06/2005 10:06:02 PM
Her face looks terribly over-processed...
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/06/2005 08:50:14 PM
This would have scored much higher in my opinion, but around the eyes and nose, the photo appears verry muddled.

12/06/2005 02:37:02 PM
I liked the thumbnail of this photo a lot... unfortunately, the full version looks almost plastic, which is usually an indication that too much Neat Image was applied... the odd shape of the highlights in the eyes is also distracting to me.

Lots of potential for this image. Oversharpened too much. Had it not been overdone, this would have easily been on one of the high spots.

Think you have destroed good image with bad post processing. Dont know if you have used some kind of robust noise reduction or some blurring. Either way it dont look good imo

I really like parts of this shot. The composition & subject matter are both really good, but the image quality is not great, I can't tell whether this is over processing of bad jpeg compression. The eyes look over sharpened and the edge of the nose is very soft and looks heavly cloned. This would be a 10 for me if it were not for those things. As is it a 6.

This looks way over processed on my monitor.

looks over sharpened....otherwise pretty good

Very beautiful. The hair (eyebrows and lashes included) and skin give it the feeling of a painting. Excellent composition. One of my favorites. Good Luck

I love every bit of compositional element in this shot, great work. My only criticism is that (on my monitor) It looks very overprocessed...

Nice idea but way too much noise reduction.

12/04/2005 06:37:30 PM
this may have been done before - :-) Sharpened within an inch of it's life, or is that just neat image? the halos on the eye brows and other dark areas are kind of a give away 5

Too much sharpness on the hair and eyebrows, too much glow on the eyes. It looks a bit over worked. I love how you set this up, The eyes are gorgous, the crop and the scarf are great though.

12/04/2005 03:21:54 PM
This could have been much better if it didn't look over-processed.

Nice image but it looks oversharpened. Good Luck.

Waaay too much noise reduction/smoothing. But very good composition.

12/03/2005 11:29:44 PM
Seems to be a bit too much neat image or something..Sorry
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/03/2005 05:14:51 PM
I really like the composition. The only thing I don't like is the artifacts that can be seen from what looks like the results of sharpening and smoothing.

12/03/2005 10:18:18 AM
The veil is nice, but the eyebrows and eyes are just a bit too overprocessed for my personal tastes.

12/03/2005 06:53:54 AM
Too much neat image or surface blur for my liking .. otherwise a nice picture try to use DESPECKLE instead it does the same kind of thing without leaving a plastic look.. I had the same thing happen to me with a picture I thought would get around 6-6.5 .. ended up at 5.2, i never use blur any more after that.. good luck

easy on the noice reduction dude :)

12/03/2005 05:03:42 AM
Fantastic shot (composition, lighting, color) ruined by over-smoothing of the subject's skin. While this type of shot has been done many times before (with good results) I think this would have scored very high had there been more natural skin and eye texture.

12/02/2005 08:07:34 PM
Neat image strikes again. I can see that you re-sharpened eyebrows, lashes, etc, but her skin still has that plastic look. :-(

Pretty girl, but the picture is way over-processed.

12/02/2005 02:02:51 PM
too much neat image for me, and the eyes seem oversharpened. Still, nice composition.

12/02/2005 07:35:11 AM
Some very obvious artifacts in the image. I'm guessing due to neat image or something similar.

12/02/2005 12:02:22 AM
either far too zoomed or just too much sharpening.

National Geographic - worthy shot. Sweet!

12/01/2005 11:54:23 PM
Nice composition but the processing (noise reduction? neat image?) makes it look completely unnatural.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/01/2005 10:07:23 PM
too much editing on her skin. Makes her look almost plastic. :(
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/01/2005 07:50:54 PM
Very nice but a bit too much spot editing around the eybrows for my taste. You seem to have lost the texture of her hair too.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/01/2005 07:30:01 PM
Excessive use of noise reduction softwares, or too much blur...
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/01/2005 06:33:04 PM
I'm sure many people are pointing out the neatimage/processing artefacts...especiall on the eyes.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/01/2005 05:53:21 PM
Great composition and colors. This looks seriously over-smoothed (is that a word?) with something like neatimage to me. Worth re-editing or even re-shooting if necessary and if you get the opportunity. But of course that's just my opinion.

12/01/2005 02:55:54 PM
I'm not sure if I like this or not, it looks plasticky, but very well done. I'll come back later!

12/01/2005 02:38:26 PM
IMHO I think too much noise has been removed
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/01/2005 10:27:36 AM
Way, way too soft and blotchy. Excellent composition though.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
12/01/2005 10:20:58 AM
looks too smooth. the image loses it's integrity with the amount of editing that it looks like has been done here. I love your Idea though. the eyes are great, and the vail across the face is very classic. I would watch the lights in her eyes, it almost becomes the focal point in this picture. again though, great job overall 7

I am so blessed to have the chance to see photos like this one which really touches my soul. It is so touching and warm and yes even fragile, just like the title.

12/01/2005 07:15:01 AM
I like it ... except that it appears over sharpened, especially in the hair and the eyebrows.

12/01/2005 07:12:43 AM
I could be wrong but I think you have over cooked the neat-image here, where it didn't need NT at all. If I'm wrong I do apologise but it's just the way I see it.

Stunning eyes, perfect composition, but face blur/wash out is not to my taste. Reddish face color cast also...7

Way too much gausian blur on the face

A little over-processed, but beautiful.

Those eyes do look like they're made out of glass. Very nice, I can't wait to read/see about how did you do this shot. bumping up.

Seems just a bit overprocessed...but I can't be sure.
