This is the double exposure mentor thing. At the last page bottom is revealed the technique to achieve this effect. Thank you.

The lighting was to show two states. The hat is made quickly out of paper mache.

Yes, I knew it was yours. This was so well done technically.
I feel its very under-rated

What I just found very ironic, is that labuda did this image:
' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/316/thumb/154154.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/316/thumb/154154.jpg', '/') + 1) . '

Genious execution Dan :-D

ew- cant wait to read the "how was it done". and is he wearing a tortoise shell hat?? so strange that I forget to look at it as a photograph. Do you like the left side where it is greenish? What if you cropped closer on that side? The eye wouldnt be centered then but it might work better with the light only coming from the right.

G-funk? Great concept but I'm not too keen on the yellow/green cast, left of the image and the lighting overall but I'm certain this will do well. Good Luck.

funk master strikes again!
this is very clever, and your skin tone even matches something like Prince Siddhartha's would have been.
