Too bad the little lynxes went inside.
This was the best shot I got.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

This is a beautiful Lynx. However, I find that the image is a bit out of focus. The white of the fur is also a bit blown out, and maybe a little darkening using gamma or brightness/contrast controls would have improved that situation. The frame I find to be a bit large, but do like the color chosen for it. I would have also liked to have seen this image not so centered.

I do like the brown leaves. They add a bit of natural environment to the photo, and doesn't make it look as if the shot was posed.

All in all it is a great capture of the Lynx; an unusual and beautiful subject!

I notice the border too much on this, takes away from the pic.

Now, this is a beauty. A little sgarper would have enhanced this image more. Bumping up.

like the frame - the soft fur

Your brown and black border really distract for me.

It may be a mother lynx, but I'd really prefer to see a baby in the shot. With her alone, it just doesn't say "mother" to me.

Honestly, I think the border detracts greatly from this image. It stands out more than the photograph. The lighting in the image is good and I wonder if it would enhance the subject more if it were cropped in portrait orientation rather than landscape. Good Luck with the challenge.

Back for comments. A nice nature shot with great lighting but unfortunately I think voters will be looking for mother/child relationships.

I would have voted this highr with a smaller animal in the photo

Composition is ok. The choice of subject matter is ok. The image quality is ok. Could have been a little more creative. - 5

Personally, I don't like the border.

A little soft, and a lotta border. Good shot, though! 7

I wish the face of the lynx was sharper

Lovely lighting, on a good subject. The focus seems a little fuzzy, or unsharp perhaps. If this was sharpened, and the left crop done a bit tighter, I think it would have been even better than it already is.

For me, since the cat is sitting in a vertical position, I wonder if cropping this into a vertical format would have greater impact. That and a bit of sharpening could add to the beauty of this animal.

That is a beautiful photo! Worthy of showing off! I wish you could see the offspring for this challenge, but it's still a great photo.

Kitty is just slightly OOF. It's a nice shot, but I'd like to see kitten. This is 100% dependent on the title. I don't mind the center composition.

As an image this is well done, maybe crop a bit of the right to reduce the centre feel . As per the challenge, the viewer has to take your word for it

the huge border is distracting to me, and I would prefer to see something other than the title that indicated motherhood... this is otherwise a good photo of an animal.
