Sorry - it's in City Life

Thanks for checking!

I just tried to check out your new version of the photo but couldn't find it in your gallery. Hm. Which of your galleries did you put the photo in?

Thanks for all of your comments. I had trouble with the resampling and adjustments. That's ok, I've learned a lot since then. I re-adjusted and I believe the photo came out much better. Also, I did adjust the color balance a bit to enhance the contrasts the red brick and the green tops of the buildings. The adjustments are in my gallery Gallery

If anyone does take the time to check them out, I wouldn't mind any comments.

Taken in NEW HAVEN, CT on top of a parking garage.

Not too much detail exists, seems very blurry.

Good composition.

Kind of like an old postcard.
06/28/2002 02:06:00 PM
needs focus

Are the colors a bit off, a bit blury, and what a dull overcast day, otherwise I like this picture.
06/28/2002 11:30:00 AM
Very grainy, very washed-out. I hate for that to be my only criticism if this is just the fault of a lower-end camera, but I just can't get past those two.

very beautiful. would have been helped by a bit of 'sharpening'

A couple of tips. Levels and sharpening. It's still a pretty interesting shot. I think the top of the tower could have been closer to your top edge to allow more of the city in the bottom portion.

Since the day is so overcast, and the picture is slightly un-focused, would it work in black and white? I like the general composition, though I think if the tallest structure was a little bit more to the right, it would be more effective.

seems a little blury to me.

I think I see the title, but I'm not sure.

Foreground is a bit too dark and it is overall a bit fuzzy. Was this a handheld shot with a lot of zoom? The more you zoom, the more you need a tripod. Also, I don't see the "Now" part.
06/25/2002 02:04:00 PM
It might need to be sharpened up in photoshop , seems a bit soft.
06/25/2002 02:17:00 AM
Not the best exposure....you've lost your contrast which would be so beautiful with the reds and greens....maybe the weather just wasn't cooperating?
06/24/2002 07:49:00 PM
Not certain what the now is....but the then is not very clear. Photo 4 City 8 total 6

I'm not sure where this is, but the red bricking looks nice.. I think it would look even nicer in a little different lighting situation maybe... It looks a bit hazy... i also think a sharpen filter would clean this up quite nicely :) = 5 - jmsetzler

Wonderful shot! I wish it were a bit less soft though.

I like the green in this image
06/24/2002 05:10:00 PM
Wow interesting buildings. Hope you'll tell us where this is. Could be sharper, more crisp. Kee

nice, but i'm confused, wich is then and wich now? another thing, is the picture a bit blurry?
06/24/2002 09:48:00 AM
Blurry, dithered, and/or over brightened or over use of levels? Great for architechture, but where is the city "life"? The city looks like this, but what about what goes on in and around it?
06/24/2002 06:01:00 AM
Would love this to be a little more focused.
