| This looks oversharpened. A hair light placed directly behind the flower would give it a nice glow around the edges. The wilted-looking (desaturated?) leaves on the flower contrast with the petals in a way that feels imbalanced rather than complementary. The stem appears to be framed slightly off-center; I would like it better if the flower were angled to place the stem 1/3rd of the way toward either edge or moving it to the exact center. |

| Beauty in every sence, the rose, the petals, the color, the shape, the image is just perfect in every sence..... I love it, very well done. The tones in the flower are magic. I do hope it does well. |

| Too much processing made the stem and parts of the petals look strangely colored. Perhaps blurring or darkening those areas could help conceal it? Top of the rose has great focus and shadows though. |

| Beautiful rose with luscious color. My only complaint is that the photo is over sharpened causing white lines around the front petals. The lighting is very good as is the color. |

| Nicely done. A definite burst of color that meets the challenge - at least in my interpretation. A bit grainy in the stem compared with the clarity of the rest of the image, but overall, I think it's very well done. 8 |

| Nice photo, but my attention goes to the smudgy parts in the bottom right corner, and to the two 'hot' pixels, at 3 and 5 o'clock positions just next to the rose. I feel the photo would have been stronger if they had been burned or cloned out. |

| Great detail in this shot. There have been other floral shots in this challenge, but this one is quite nice. I like that you have removed the background. |
