The halos around the train look to have come from using USM with a radius too high. Try it with 0.3 or 0.4 for this sized photo.

good piece, color a bit muddy, b&w need help, excellent dof, great lines, good texture, light a bit flat but not disturbing, great comp, overall nice job

Nice capture, that smoke seems to divide the picture into two completely different images with the train as the dividing line. Well done

I like trains. I would have used the shadow/highlights feature in PS to bring out some detail in the engine. Nice DOF and glad you were on the upwind side of the track
