A break in the heavy rain, fogged in at 2000 feet. I got off one shot of his expressive movement.

post challenge--thanks for all the comments, and I'm so happy to share him with you. His breeder uses this image as the front of her business card, as the paramount example of what her stallion produces. I like the anonymity of his face, and the way he's rotated his head caused his mane to stand up so expressively.

THe power and liquid grace you've captured here is so awesome... this is so glorious. I love how the fog helps isolate the horse and get rid of distractions. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

This image looks like it would be wonderful as a poster. It is nicely done, and I really like the softness the fog gave the horse.

ANother 10! A study in power! So much movement in the sudden halt. Muted colors emphasize the strength. The turned away head is a perfect way to depersonalize the animal. Delicate mane and tail make a great contrast.

What a nice picture - so mystical looking. It looks like this horse should be a unicorn rather that just a plain old horse.

From my perspective, this is possibly the most powerful image in the challenge. The physique of the horse is well defined. You've captured a powerful movement defined by the mane, the tail, and the legs. The lighting is subtle which works very well with the color of the animal. The foggy setting suggests the power of the animal might not be observed, and makes me wonder what inspired this particular movement ... adds interest to the photo. Well done. Among my top picks. I worry this may not get the votes it so richly deserves. Looking at the thumbnail, it would be easy to miss the full size version. And voters here seem to be drawn to photos with more vibrant color. Whatever the outcome, I hope you will feel proud of this photo.

This is quite beautiful, it has an almost mystical quality about it...also, the longer I look at this, the more it looks like a painting, the light and tones are just so pretty.

Wow, love the power and the play of this running horse. Love how you caught the action of running and the hair of the main and tail tossing. Also of interest is the poise of the horses head as it shakes it head the muscles in it's neck stand out and we get a sense of power of this magnificent beast. My only critique on this great action shot is that the composition could be cropped such that the main subject dominates the frame. Keep our attention focused on the power and beauty of this majestic horse as it runs by cropping out the unnecesary background.
