Bob, I like this shot, especially the texture of his skin and the look of his eyes, so full of life especially given his circumstances. Wish I had the courage to ask some of these people downtown to let me photgraph them. Something for me to work on I guess. |

Nice portrait. These smiling eyes bely an inevitably more troubled history than it appears. I feel the crop is a little tight, but I should imagine this has something to do with the limits of on-screen presence - and size has much to do with that when it comes to faces.
Brave shot which takes conviction to pull off. |

great grayscale and expression on the subject, i gess my one and only gripe would be the fact that there isn't more in the frame, but for the type of shot it is i gess a facial close up is really the most that should be in the frame... maybe i just want to see why he is smiling or the contrast of circonstances the smile and the rest of the frame ie the backround and area. |

I remember this being quite the favorite in your portfolio (and on the forums), and it's a relly nice impromptu portrait, but for some reason, it just never resonated with me personally.. however, technically it's about as strong as they come. I wonder if people subconciously connect with the "jesus" look? I dunno. :) |

A truly amazing and unique capture in this challenge. You've achieved wonderful tonal range from light to dark while staying within exposure limits. A very worthy and high placing entry... well done... :) |
