Terrific image Bob. You captured his facial features so well....I love his smile.

Bob, I like this shot, especially the texture of his skin and the look of his eyes, so full of life especially given his circumstances. Wish I had the courage to ask some of these people downtown to let me photgraph them. Something for me to work on I guess.

wrinkles and bad teeth, long hair and beard, worn and weathered.. and with all that.. his eyes and mouth smile for the camera.. beautiful.

Nice portrait. These smiling eyes bely an inevitably more troubled history than it appears. I feel the crop is a little tight, but I should imagine this has something to do with the limits of on-screen presence - and size has much to do with that when it comes to faces.

Brave shot which takes conviction to pull off.

great grayscale and expression on the subject, i gess my one and only gripe would be the fact that there isn't more in the frame, but for the type of shot it is i gess a facial close up is really the most that should be in the frame... maybe i just want to see why he is smiling or the contrast of circonstances the smile and the rest of the frame ie the backround and area.

I remember this being quite the favorite in your portfolio (and on the forums), and it's a relly nice impromptu portrait, but for some reason, it just never resonated with me personally.. however, technically it's about as strong as they come. I wonder if people subconciously connect with the "jesus" look? I dunno. :)
