Nice composition, dark brooding feel. Don't like the frame. I'm not overly fond of these very dark pictures with little detail. All this just imo, obviously. Good luck!

too dark for my personal liking, but good pp for this style image.

A very artsy and bold presentation. Not very DPC friendly, but it's a great shot in a very distinct visual style.

I like the simplicity of the image but the frame unfortunately ruins it for me. I think the drop shadow is a bit distracting.6

first, the border is just too much. it makes the image more about the border than what's inside it. second, i think i can see what you're after, just wish there was a little more detail. as is, it seems a bit out of balance, with that bright area to the right.

I'm not at all keen on the border here, it really spoils the shot in my opinion. The shot could have looked much more impressive with either a black border or no border. I really think it has enough of a natural border around the subject to not require a new one.

This has some great jagged edges (metaphorically as well as literally), that makes it so convincing for the concept expressed in the title. Would it be as powerful without the title? I'm not sure, but I think so. Therefore: 8.

Good image. Nice lighting. I think a little too much noise. Border is slightly overwhelming as well for a simple composition.

Don't like the drop shadow.
