Not sure where the wildlife is.

Stared at this pic on and off for a few days now and have yet to see an animal in this shot. I have concluded that you must be going for the brown ribbon. I suppose it's possible that your art is just way above my feeble mind. . . . NAH, You're going for the brown! I'm just sorry I can't help you out more by giving you lower than a 1.

Sorry - I don't see any wildlife (ie: animals) in this shot.

Cant say I see the wildlife here. Am I missing something?

Last i checked, grass wasn't wildlife.

I think I am meant to be looking at two birds in the very top left of the picture. They are very out of focus, and lost in the picture. The log in the foreground is the subject with the current cropping of the picture.

Its wild and its life and its in its natural environment.. ;) might have tried to get in closer to the new shoot.. although I love the texture of the log

You've probably heard already that this doesn't fit the challenge.

I can't see a animal or wildlife anywhere.....
01/27/2006 07:17:14 PM
I cant see an animal here, I apologise if it is there but if it is, it should be more prominent in the photo
01/27/2006 02:24:43 PM
as the main focus of this photo is a decaying tree, I cannot see how this is wildlife, I did try to fit it in, honestly
01/26/2006 11:53:14 PM
I can't see any vertebrates, or invertebrates for that matter. What animal is supposed to be there?
01/26/2006 04:40:26 PM

What am I looking at? I don't see any wildlife here. Plants aren't what come to mind when I think of wildlife (I would say plantlife, rather). At any rate, the challenge specified mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. In terms of the overall quality of the photo it is a nice effort but could stand improvement. There really isn't a strong focal point. By the title I understand it is meant to contrast the rotting log with the sprigs of grass growing on it. Without the title to clue me in, the tiny grass just doesn't make a strong enough contrast to the log to make a strong visual statement. There is too much surrounding detail to distract, even from the log. What is needed for this type of image is a macro shot (or at least as close as your camera will allow) of one of the tiny blades of grass that includes enough detail about the log to give the idea but no so much that the grass becomes lost in its surroundings.

I have no idea what this is. I can't even see an animal in the photo as listed in specific guidelines for this challenge. Needless to say, this is a DNMC for those reasons, and my score reflects that.

I'm not seeing any wildlife here as explained by the challenge description. Just looks like a fallen tree.

"...should be considered non-domesticated mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians living in a natural environment..."
