"The Dream of Niagara beside my City" is a very unusual piece. I would agree that the title is critical to the voters, if they missed the title they probably missed the photo itself. I think you had an excellent idea and a great fantasy for yourself. The shot itself is very interesting to look at. I love the color of the sky, I think it is one of the hard times of day to capture and yours looks great. I also like the poll standing with a light to give some more focus to the shot. There are a couple little things right on the top of the water line that were distracting for me. Yet the glow of light from somewhere really brings back your focus. I think you did a good job. |

Very peculiar image. I didn't react especially well to it at first, but on rexamination I like it more. Nicely done. I wonder if a trace of gradient to darken the top a tad would have helped here? Bumping. |

If not for the red light I wouldn't have noticed that this is a long exposure of a skyline. Nice idea, but without the title it doesn't seem to relate very strongly to the challenge topic. |

My intial reaction: If those tiny red things weren't there, this would totally work for me. I'm not at all sure why, but this has very strong appeal for me, other than being distracted by the red windsock or whatever it is. It has a very powerful, otherworldly feel to it that surprises me somewhat. |

this almost looks like a painting.... I really like the simplicity of the composition and the single column of light adds interest..... the sky has beautiful raw umber tones. The windsock (at least that's what it looks like to me) compliments the surrealism. You did a wonderful thing to a simple landscape |

Based on your title, I am assuming that you do not live anywhere near Niagra, and that you created this. I like the ray of light that comes down from the clouds - adds interest. |
