Challenge: Wildlife II (Advanced Editing IV*)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Winston Oregon
Date: Jan 21, 2006
Galleries: Nature, Animals
Date Uploaded: Jan 21, 2006

This was taken at a game park which is as close as I could get to the wild without going to Africa :) This was taken through the glass of my car window. No advanced editing was used. Just crop, resize, sharpen and upped the contrast a bit.

A beautiful shot.....so crisp and the eyes are very expressive. the tonal quality of the background fits perfectly with the image of the cat.

Given the spirit of the challenge was to capture a shot of wildlife in its natural environment, I find it most difficult to believe that this was done with your entry. Needless to say my vote on this was very low given those circumstances. When a photo does not do its best in composition to depict actual challenge guidelines, my stadegy for voting immediately stops and it becomes a DNMC to me. I seriously doubt that any wild cats or huge other wild and known-to-possibly-attack-man animals in this challenge were hunted for to this extreme and over a graphic ribbon.
