 I never really went out shooting for the Free Study this month. I just went back through my photos and picked this one out two hours before the deadline (it was a possibility for Wildlife, but I didn't get a chance to enter).

Processing: Crop, levels, curves, colorize to sepia, and dodging and burning. Nothing too fancy.

6 - Your call obviously on the b&w/toning, works well, especially with the feather patterns. Criticism; difficult due to the processing and grain involved, just like to see the eyes a bit sharper/dominant.

Lovely. The eyes are the perfect reflection. The post editing filter is perfect to showcase all the various colors of the feathers. LOVE THIS. 9

Could be a little sharper over the entire picture but I suspect this was an extreme zoom so the DOF may have been very limited (recently found this one out for myself :( ) , I like the Black and White, really makes the feathers stand out
