 This was my first and only idea.Inspired by Neil Young's song "Heart of Gold." Couldn't get used to not having rules...even now I feel I might get dqd for something!
Used a christmas decoration I had. Dirtied my model's hands and took the photo outside in the garden.
resized, selective b/w, dodge/burn, erase, fill in, usm

Great, now that song is stuck in my head ;-) (just kidding...kind of)

I like your image, though the hands do seem to blend too much into the background, at least to me. Creatvie and good post processing work. I'm sure it will do well in the challenge. 9

I have an inkling of the photographer, but I'll be curious to see if I'm right when the challenge is over. Guess this means I've been around just long enough to possibly recognize some of the members' works, or not.

Very clever and nicely done, but it took me a second to realize that the heart was in hands because of the object in BG on top...I think if it were not there, it would have "popped" more. Good luck.

You really have to look to see that there are hands here, and I like that. The contrast of textures/colors and the reflections make this a very interesting picture.

gritty grungy against a brautiful golden heart. Wonderful contrast, Im drawn into the heart. What is that thing behind your hands though, its brightness detracts from your heart.
