From the Critique Club
First off congrats on top 10. Very stunning and brilliantly colored image. Nicely balanced between the opened and unopened tulips. Nice lighting overall. I do think the black background makes the edges on the opened one seem a bit harsh. Maybe it is just me but it also seems a bit soft. But that is probrably just me. You know more about photography than I do. This is just me personally. But I would have liked to seen a little more negative space. The tulips a little further back. But I figure when you get in the top 10. It's more of a hit or miss type of thing. So I do not know what to tell you as far as what you could have done better. Not much of a critique and I apologize. |

Thanks every one for the Great comments! I appreciate it. A note about the tulips: NO TULIPS WERE HURT IN THE MAKING OF THIS IMAGE! LOL! No really. OK I cut the stems, but that was the only thing I used a pair of scissors for. The florist that I bought these from did not know what they were...something Dutch, he said (to which I replied silently "Duh"). I found some more today at another florists who new they were Fringed tulips, which I had found on the net. And he actually had, and I bought, some of the same variety which he told was called "Isle de France". Thanks again! |

These are two beautiful flowers however I have difficulty seeing them as an odd couple in anyway. The title helps but its a big stretch. |

Great interpretation of the theme, wonderful colour and composition - neat use of the title. Mind you, I've never seen a tulip with sharp edges like that before - is it natural or manually/digitally created? Definitely one of my two top favs in this challenge. |

Nicely done. Great lighting and an odd couple of the flowers makes this one of the better shots in this challenge. Good work. |

I see one well- rounded and one that's a little jagged around the edges. An excellent depiction of the different lifestyles and priorities of the characters portrayed in the show. Although this is a nice photo, I think it's a little to deep for most people that vote. |

This is so clever.... it really says Felix and Oscar without even having any people in it. You have nailed the challenge 100%, plus you managed to sneak a colorful flower pic in. Love it! 9 |

This is truly a great shot and composition. I do however feel that the composition only matches the challenge based on it's title, otherwise it is an excellent photo of two flowers, and I do not find them to be odd in any way. |
