I happened to walk by this radio in my house which is sitting under a lamp and noticed the contouring of shape. Had to shoot it. Ofcourse I did some repositioning to get the contouring I wanted and not get gradations of light on the wall. I bracketed a LOT, experiementing with DoF and getting the exact exposure.

WB set to daylight in RAW conversion for "warm" look.

Post process:
Original File - CRW_6858.CRW
Convert from RAW (with minus half stop exposure)
Rotate about 1 degree.
Crop.
Auto Contrast.
Lightness -15 in Hue/Sat adjustment layer.
Resize.
USM
Save for Web.

This is neat, I like the warmth and feeling of nostalgia in this photo. Composition and cropping are ideal for the subject.

I appreciate the attempt here...but this photo seems to represent a more modern feeling...perhaps a better antique background would have added to the photo.

This image works extremely well as a low key image. The highlights are perfectly exposed. The subject is interesting (to me at least). Composition works. You've allowed enough texture in to give depth. Well done. 9
