This is an ATTEMPT to recreate Hokie's image from the Painting with Light II Challenge.
Used Super Bright LED (White).
Sprayed mist on apple before shot.
Opened shutter...swirled light...immeadiatly closed shutter (10 seconds total).
Post editing:
-Used layers in Photoshop CS2 to refinish image
-adjusted levels to make the blacks black
-Adjusted saturation and colors to bring out the green
-Burned out the bottom half of the apple
-cropped, resized, and saved

I tried this and failed. You, on the other hand, have succeeded. I just couldn't get the light to spin right. Nicely done.

This is a great shot. However, I think that the crop should not have been as tight.

Had the same idea, changed colors and composition, One thing I can comment on your take is the cropping of the lowest swirl in the bottom left corner.
