So is it the man or the woman who can't commit in this picture? I can't tell.
If you can summarize how you conquered your fear let me know. I just split from my boyfriend of three years, he doesn't know if he wants to be married. We spent a year in couples therapy to try to figure it out. |

To me, this picture doesn't show fear, but a kick in the balls. Ouch.
It's a good sshot anyway-9 |

This was a really hard challenge, this picture was taken a few hours before the deadline, I just couldnt come up with any ideas so the props were just some things laying around the house. Any way thanks for the great comments. |

Love the idea, have some problems with the set up. I think I can understand why you'd use silk flowers for the shot, but in the context of the picture they seem really tacky. Would you give/expect silk flowers from your lover in terms of getting engaged? Second, the note looks typed out -- bad enough to turn someone down via a note, but to not even make it a handwritten one? And then to keep the ring and just give back the box with the note inside? If you'd used real flowers, left the ring in the box, and the placed the note off to one side in the composition, I'd have upped my score. :-) |

Beautiful arangement. Perfect colors. I wish the leaf wasn't covering the "I" in the note. Did I mention the great colors? 10 |

hehe, he must also be afraid of the cost of real flowers! very nice picture--good framing and composition--and I really like the use of just those three (main) colors. 8-amitchell |

Real roses (IMO) are needed here, and the white box on white (looks like a mattress cover?) doesn't do much for me, but the creativity is great, the clarity is great and the presentation is really nice. Great job. cthenk |

great interpretation of the challenge. i really like this shot. one thing (nitpicky) - i would like the note to be handwritten rather than typed and on some less white paper. still, one of my top 10 this week. -- gr8photos (9) |

I like this shot and idea/message for fear. However the ring box logo detracts from the mood of the shot :( , also I would have liked to see the ring with the note. Good shot nonetheless! |

Excellent composition and technique. Almost too clinical in it's setup for my tastes but I'm still giving it a 10. Great job! |

|
07/09/2002 09:17:00 AM |
Its a creative idea but I'm not entirely happy with the way it was executed. I don't like the white space in the lower left. Also it looks like you only had one light source and there are alot of shadows that probably should have been lit up. |

fair composition and good concept |

07/09/2002 12:18:00 AM |
This is my favorite picture this week. Not only does it tell a story, but it tells a story that is all to common for many relationships. It is also technically very well done. I gave it a 10. :) |

very pretty and sharp flowers.. |

|
07/08/2002 06:22:00 PM |
Cute. Well executed, but synth. roses digitally create excess patterns. In a way, this might be considered "adding" to the story. Fake roses for a less than real proposal...... 6 Swash |

Great photo and very much a great fear! |
|
|
07/08/2002 04:29:00 PM |
Nice composition. It just looks so so staged though, with the silk flowers, computer written note and all. Real flowers and a handwritten note would have been more realistic, and therefore more powerful. |

beautifully composed. The fake white rose needs fibers trimmed from it. Very clever idea |

THIS is fear... plain and simple ! It's so me ! A great effort that I hope pays off this week. NICE !!!! |
