Thank you to everyone who voted ... and that "model" is me :) - I have a view finder that rotates and i can see myself taking the photo .. so i played with it - and voila - that's what i got :) - it kinda reminds me of an older horror film image - and that's what i was trying to portray ... thanks again to everyone :) |

Fear or shock/dismay? Great graphic quality. |

Beautifully terrifying, emulating classic horror. If I had a choice, this would win this week. |

I like how clearly I can see the eyes. The expression on the model seems more surprised, to me, than fearful. Anyway I give you an 8 and I've given very few of them. |

Nice B&W. Great range of tones (even if maybe a LITTLE too dark, but I think it works). Perfect expression. Doesn't make me want to laugh like some of the others this week because this looks "straight" and not posed -- like you actually caught someone in the act of being frightened. |

Good job. I like the framing and the buldgeing eyes |

Good fear shot, I feel the quality of the image suffers a little from the sharpness filter. The edges around the face and hands on the lowe part of the shot are slightly jagged. Overall 7 |

I'm trying to decide if she looks scared or if I should be scared of her! lol. Like the title. |

Nice use of b&w to help convey the fear. Great expression. Nit pick...the reflection in her eyes looks like it's broad daylight (window light). It may have been better to shoot in dark room with artificial light. I'd never notice this while shooting though. :P Great shot! 9 Lisa |

Good use of the whole frame. Would suggest though maybe some softening of the shot. I looks a little pixely or something (like my use of technical terms?LOL) |

Great eyes. I like this photo...but I think I'd like even better a photo with just a close up of those eyes with the whites all around them. And the eyebrows too. |

This is "SO 60's" - nicely done as B/W - good chioce. Quite a bit of light reflecting in the eyes, Perhaps an indirect flash? |

Face seems too relaxed to be scared |

It's hard to separate fear from shock, which is very well represented here. Good focus/contrast/framing. (a photoshop touch up with something dangerous clearly reflected in her eyes would be GREAT!, but illegal here.) 7 Swash |

I like the sharpness of this photo and the big bulging eyes. That hand though looks strange. You want to try to never cut off a limb that way. This photo probably would have done better without the hand. |

I think you took the levels and sharpening a little too far, but a good shot nonetheless. Also, the outline of the leftmost finger doesn't look natural. |

Excellent composition, lighting -- very well done. Update: I've finished voting for the week (will do some minor juggling and comments later), and this is my favorite Fear photograph. Great job! (10) |
