I gave this an 8. Liked the composition and texture(s), 'syrup' and the wood. The only real thing that detracted was the grain in the black/darker areas, but fairly minor. A variation in the lighting, to really make the syrup/syrup flow 'pop' more, may have also made this even better in my opinion. |

Excellent composition, I like the back lighting heaps. Quite a different subject as well. Looks sticky, very well done. |

Niice! Refreshingly unique approach to the challenge. Great idea. Very strong composition with the nice vertical and all. Fantastic lighting! And a really cool pic to boot! Makes me say "ewww" ...which is good in this case .

This is great. Really meets the description of the challenge: "A texture occurs in a photograph because of the interaction between light and a three dimensional surface." Amazing shot. |
