 Photographer’s Notes
On one of our many trips, we bought a small (6 inch diameter) vase/urn/art object. I liked it because of its shape and "texture." I have wanted to photograph it for some time but never overcame my inertia to do it; until now.

In one of the takes, I saw a similarity to another challenge entry of mine featuring the moon. It seemed to me the texture was similar to the lunar surface. And perhaps humorously, maybe this was what we’d see on the far side of the moon. This led me to my title.

I think the two side lights did a nice job bringing out the texture. I hope you enjoy it as a hopefully unique entry in the challenge.
