yup, she is purty. would have liked closer to the model, even if i lost a little sky. |

since the background is no that interesting, a closer look seemed better. |

My only suggestion would be to back away a little, and frame it so that you don't cut her feet out of the picture. (That is a personal thing, it just bothers me.) Otherwise, I like how she is illuminated, and the rest is darker. |

Great job on colors and light. The wind blown hair works really well here. My one nitpick is to not lop off the feet for a full portrait. |

Well done getting the subject and the background all focussed, lit and well composed! Nice shot. |

Nice expression; great background. |

full image including feet might work better compositionally |

Very nice, good framing, lively due the wind in her hair but yet pieceful.. |

cropping the brighter sky to the right would've made the background less distracting. Nice shot though. |

interesting light play. a beauty of a background. I like the detail of the floating strand of hair |

I guess if I were combining a landscape and a portrait with this settng, I'd have shot this from as low an angle as I could get, to reinforce the "heavenly" aspect, and to line your model's midriff up with that bright swath across the sky. A dark belt might have worked better, too. |

The sky, water and clouds make for a dramatic backdrop. I think you'd have a stronger shot if you framed the girl tighter. |

Nice sunset. Good looking subject, but looks a little perturbed. |

Nice pose! This feels like something out of a magazine almost. Just the right amount of wispy hair.. her expression.. I like it! 7 |

Though I like this photo, I think I would have liked to have seen more of a close up on her absolutely lovely face. She seems to be almost overwhelmed by the background. |

The background is great, but you didn't really get the best out of your model. |
07/15/2002 07:32:00 PM |
It's a shame that her feet were cut off. Great background. |
07/15/2002 06:23:00 PM |
Beautiful shot/subject. Nice use of flash to bring her out more; in a way, she almost looks pasted in. ;) (including her feet would have "locked" her into this shot) 8 Swash |

Nice, but a full portrate includes the feet. By the way, she's a keeper. |

Excellent capture of expression !! |

07/15/2002 04:44:00 PM |
Seems a bit grainy...not sure if that was intentional or not. I think in this case, though the sunset is beautiful, I'd have liked to have seen more of the girl closer up. |
07/15/2002 04:17:00 PM |
Where's her feet? You shouldn't have cropped out her feet. |
07/15/2002 04:03:00 PM |
Nice picture - the darkness in the background really makes the subject stand out. Why no feet? 8 |

More zoom and less jpeg compression would help |

Putting pretty girls in your photos is unfair to me as wanna-be-unbiased viewer, and yet I cannot bring myself to complain. :) I really like the contrast you've set up. Her jeans seem jagged on the edges -- not sure if that's oversharpening or a result of adjusting the levels to get that dark background. |
07/15/2002 12:00:00 PM |
Nice Shot, A little grainy though.... |

very nice (and sexy) the flash could be softer though... |

07/15/2002 11:14:00 AM |
Good shot, and nice colors. I like the pose of the model too. Only suggestions I have are a bit tighter crop, and more sharpness. There are a lot of jpeg artifacts. |
07/15/2002 08:40:00 AM |
Pretty girl. Not the greatest sunset though. You should have just gotten closer to the girl. |
07/15/2002 06:27:00 AM |
The girl is definitely cute, but I think this image would have more artistic value and more impact if she was not in the image. Her presence turns this photo into a snapshot, where as it would have more artistic impact without her. The sunset and clouds look nice :) = 4 - jmsetzler |

Real nice work. Pretty girl, pretty sky, good light on her face. I would only of liked to see her feet in the shot. All in all I like this. |
07/15/2002 02:25:00 AM |
you over sharpened too much or started with too small an original. Between the sharpening and the flash she looks pasted in. This would have been an interesting shot during the advertising challenge. |

07/15/2002 01:08:00 AM |
What is your subject here? If you like the scenic, shoot the scenic. If yuo what a portrait, move in and get close. If you want a full body shoot, shoot vertically, and and do not cut of the feet. This is a grainy poorly composed snap shot as it stands. |
