OK, the sun flare is kinda cool -- as is the backlighting on your legs. But overall, I just have to say that this isn't that interesting to me. Mainly it's just very dark (not that you can do much about that when shooting straight into the sun on a shady porch).

very spontaneous

Nice effect... not a very inspirational image...

The sun blows out everything in this shot, and I find the angle of the shot of the wide-open legs uninspiring. 3-ClubJuggle

Uninspired

I'd have waited a few minutes for the sun to get down into that tree so you'd have similar lighting but less flare.

seems too haphazard
07/19/2002 12:15:00 AM
too dark

Doh hairy legs

IMO, the sun totally overpowers the rest of the picture and makes it hard to concentrate on anything else that's there. -- gr8photos (3)

I like the starburst from the sun. The feet definitely give it a relaxed feeling.

nice composition!

I see the sun and a foot.....I think the sun is too bright, I think I would have taken it just peeking out from the bottom of the porch roof there....
07/17/2002 10:43:00 AM
boooy...you got some hairy legs. lol. just playin. ;] there's too much shadow / negative space though.
07/17/2002 09:24:00 AM
Um. And this is from the viewpoint of....??? :-) Seems a little dark, and that sun really dominates the whole thing a bit too much I think.

This is a neat concept... The lighting is a little weak to really pronounce the subtleties in the photo.. = 7 - jmsetzler

I feel that getting glares off the sun or off reflections can be very effective on occasions but sadly I dont really think that is one of those ocassions.
07/16/2002 03:11:00 PM
dead or alive?
i like the hairy detail
07/16/2002 11:49:00 AM
That sun is blinding, waiting a few minutes for it to get more into the trees, or taking the pix just as the sun dipped below the edge of the roof would have helped, otherwise good one.

feels like a previous entry in the city life comp.
