Kind of an interesting look. Extremely pixellated/compressed -- you have about 15 times more space that you could have saved the file at. I'd also suggest a vertical composition instead of a horizontal to focus on the main subject of the frame and cut out all the really dark portions at left and right.

Why did that guy wave himself and his guitar around?

I like the movement, but not the pixelation

I think I understand what you are trying to accompish here, but to be honest, the pixelated excess motion blur doesn't work for me.

nice effects

The wild camera motion doesn't work for me, sorry. His motion might have been O.K., but I don't like this way. (Joke: Ever heard of a tripod/monopod?)

Too much darkness at the border.

good Idea

i appreciate what you are trying to do here, but your photo is not helped by the pixelation (try and save larger file, you are allowed up to 150k and you are only using 10k, also check out the tutorials on this site for more info). there's also a lot of black framing, have you considered turning this into a portrait format with less black? -- gr8photos (3)

this didnt work

It's kinda a neat effect, but it looks blocky. Was that intentional?

Nice abstract! I think this particular photo would be much more powerful with a vertical crop and not so much negative space on each side of your subject... :) = 6 - jmsetzler

interesting

I'm intrigued.

I can see what you were trying to do, but I think there is a bit too much movement in this picture.

Interesting sort of experimental picture. It looks like he's jumping onto the stage. I like the hints of a microphone in there...I don't like that red spot off to the left. And I wonder if it would lose anything by being cropped tighter.

Sorry, but this is terrible.
07/15/2002 03:30:00 PM
Neat shot. Lots of pixels here, I'm guessing you wanted that look. Kee.

Very nice effect.

Effective use of JPEG artifacts :-)

coll idea. shame about the resolution. I think what might had happend is that you used the same settings for compresion, you always use. but considering that you have lots of black you could go higher and still be below 150k. I learned that this week with my Fear pic. LM
